Female jockeys are just as brilliant as their male counterparts and provide a great spectacle to all the fans. However, racing enthusiasts always go a step further and use online horse betting to double the fun and excitement of sports. And the first step is mostly the registration of the punter with the relevant bookmaker, which is very easy and simple. And once you are registered, you are almost ready to enjoy the amazing world of betting.

1- Hayley Turner

Hayley Turner is one of the best female racers in the United Kingdom. Her incredible success has inspired many other women to try their luck in horse racing. Turner received early support from trainer Jeff King, but it was really under the apprenticeship of Michael Bill that she greatly improved her riding skills.

In 2012, she competed in the Dubai World Cup night and thus became the first female in history to pull off such a feat. Hayley has also the distinction of riding in the Epsom Derby- Britain’s richest horse race and the most prestigious of the five British Classics. The amazing jockey greatly enhanced her reputation when she rode I’m A Dreamer to victory at the Beverly D Stakes. Thus, she became the first British female jockey to win a Grade One abroad. She was also awarded the British flat racing Champion Apprentice in 2005. Her other major achievements include winning the July Cup and Nunthorpe Stakes in 2011.

2- Bryony Frost

Bryony Frost has truly grabbed the attention of the world with her great horse racing achievements. The daughter of retired jockey Jimmy Frost (1989 Grand National winner) had a passion for riding from an early age, but it was the famous trainer Paul Nicholls who played a big role in her meteoric rise to stardom.

Frost won at the Cheltenham Festival as an amateur jockey in 2017, and a year later rode in the prestigious Grand National as a professional. She created history in March 2019 when she rode Frodon to victory in the Ryanair Chase, thus becoming the first female to claim a Grade One over obstacles at the Cheltenham Festival. She didn’t stop there and went to win the prestigious King George VI Chase in December 2020, a feat which hadn’t been achieved by any other female jockey.

3- Lizzie Kelly

Lizzie Kelly shocked the entire world when she won the Kauto Star Novices’ Chase on Tea For Two in 2015. With this amazing victory, she immortalized her name in the history of horse racing as she became the first female jockey to win a Grade One race in Britain.

Interestingly, the winning horse was trained by her stepfather Nick Williams while her mother Jane Williams owned it. The famous jockey’s other major victory came at the Betway Bowl in 2017.
